Since it’s creation, Sympl had a officially unofficial IRC channel on the Freenode network, mainly for early users to ask simpler questions and for the development staff to get feedback.
With the recent Freenode changes and removal of all users and channels there, it’s both time for a move to another more stable network, and a good opportunity to make the new channel official.
